Personality: Kodama is a cunning and oftentimes ruthless girl. She doesn't necessarily want to be a bad person and doesn't go out of her way to harm anyone, but she is willing to do whatever necessary to get a job done, because at the end of the day a warm meal and a bed to sleep in ranks higher than any morals she has. Money and payment for her services in general are the things she is always most focused on, since she did go hungy more than once as a teen when she messed up enough for the target to escape. Because of that she also isn't willing to work for free, no matter how just the cause might be, but she definitely isn't above refusing her services when even her rather skewed morals can't justify it.
Due to neccessity she learned early on how to read other people and is good at recognizing subconscious body languague. A skill that makes her to equal parts a talented interrogator able to spot almost any lie and a very convincing actress, since she is able to consciously use those tells so make her act so much more believable. In fact, her acting and ability to tell perfect lies is so good, that sometimes (more and more often) even Kodama herself isn't sure just who she actually is anymore. During her early teens she spent so much time telling herself who and how she had to be until she became what she wanted and needed to be, that she started to lose track of the personality underneath the mask and all the pretty lies.
Nowadays she pretty much switches between three main personalities. The first one of the cold, professioanl bounty hunter, the second one that of a flirty, carefree woman she wears to have fun and while spying, and the third one made from the fragments that are left from the happy, mischivious girl she was before she left Kumogakure. The child that loved magic and fairy tales and enjoyed making people laugh. That mask is the one that is probably her most true one and pretty much tied to the presence of her brothers, Shou in specific, or on more rare occasions that of her step-mother. They tends to bring out the more childish and carefree parts of her. She also becomes more affectionate and open about actually voicing said affections for the people she cares about, when usually she'd rather let her actions imply her care.

It took more than one year for her to find enough time to get her daughter and bring her to Kumogakure to be raised by Sozui
- Kodama's arrival was the end of the relationship between Sozui and his wife since the girl, who so obviously was his daughter, was the prove of his unfaithfullness, but despite that they stayed married and he remained a fixed part in his childrens lives.

At first she was understandably reluctant, but she soon grew to care for Kodama as if she was her own daughter. - Around her 16th birthday she was finally fed up enough with her mother and decided to go seperate ways with her. Kira wasn't happy about it but knew that there was nothing she could do, since in the end she had done nothing to earn the girl's loyalty. So both parted way more or less civil terms.
- Despite being free to go back home to her family in Kumo and also wanting to return, she always managed to talk herself out of it. In the end she was too scared of being rejected that she didn't dare to ask in the first place. So she continued on as a bounty hunter.

The relationship between father and daughter was never good or close. He resented the girl for destroying his marriage and some days couldn't even look at her, while Kodama quickly picked up on his dislike of her and mostly just stayed out of his way. But despite his feelings towards her he not once raised his hand against her, or even just spoke too harshly when it wasn't warranted. Still, he had no qualms with handing her over to her mother and so removing her from his life, when the woman returned, something that neither his wife nor his sons ever forgave him for.

Kodama was resentful of her mother for taking her from the only family she had ever known, while Kira had little interest in playing happy family or sparing the tender feelings of a brat, no matter if that brat was her own daughter. She trained her daughter to assist her with bounty hunting, because she considered the girl's blood a useful asset to have at her disposal. In the end Kira and Kodama had a professional student-teacher relationship thoughout the time they spent together, but never anything more. That isn't to say that Kira was completely indifferent to her daughter, she just knew that she wasn't made to be a mother and so didn't even try in the first place. And also Kodama resentment lessened over the years and even though she will never hold any fondness for her mother, she is grateful for everything she was taught by her.

Kodama loves her stepmother fiercely and sees her as the only real parent she ever had, especially compared to her father or her biological mother. Which is one of the reasons why it hurt so much when she was just taken away from Kumo without any fight. She understood only when she was older, that her stepmother couldn't have done anything since she had never formally adopted Kodama, despite raising her, and because of that had no parental rights towards her. When she returned to Kumogakure for the first time as young adult her step-mother couldn't stop apologizing to her for letting that happen, which assuaged even the last doubts she had about wether she was welcome.

Kaminari was always the one to take care of his siblings and keep them out of trouble. He considered himself responsible for their wellbeing and was happy with that role in life, even when they called him boring for never participating in one of their pranks. Still, he and Kodama were close and he loved her fiercely, a seniment she returned. So when his baby sister just vanished from one day to another and he was told that she was back with her birth mother, he was beyond devastated. He swore he would never forgive his parents for that, a promise he keeps until this day in regards to his father, since he did realise that there was little his mother could have done to stop it. Since Kodama vanished he never stopped searching for her whenever he was outside of the village or gave up hope on finding and bringing her back. Finally, years after she first vanished, he managed to track her down and at least temporarily bring her back. He was also the one to offer her to become a spy and informant.

Kodama had always been a bit closer to Shou than she had been to Kaminari, mostly because both had the same kind of humor and usually encouraged each other to new highs of idiocity, instead of being a stick in the mud. Especially when she was younger he often entertained her with 'magic' card tricks or taught her how to play cards. And when she was a bit older he was also the one who taught her to cheat when gambling. But despite the fact that they were closer to each other, her leaving hit him less hard that his twin. That is not to say, that he didn't miss her terribly or was angry at his father, but he didn't feel the personal failure that Kaminari felt, just the loss of a sibling. When she returned they quickly grew close again and he also was the first one to actally make her laugh again.
